Sexual Harassment Prevention

1. Seminars for those responsible for sexual-harassment consultations
  These seminars explain the need for consultation functions and services in order to prevent sexual harassment within companies and teach basic techniques that contact people can use to deal with consultations and complaints.
2. Referral of lecturers for internal employee training sessions on the prevention of sexual harassment
  The JIWE provides expert lecturers for internal employee training sessions on the prevention of sexual harassment.
3. Sexual-harassment consultation services
  The JIWE can provide sexual-harassment consultation services for companies on a commission basis.
 
(1) Consultations by trained JIWE staff for employees and workers by toll-free number.
(2) Individual consultations by JIWE experts when necessary.
(3) Information on complaint resolution when problems are identified.
4. Spot consultations on sexual harassment in the workplace
  Trained JIWE staff provide consultations for corporate personnel managers or those responsible for sexual harassment on how to deal with sexual harassment when it occurs, for example, how to inquire about the facts from the perpetrator and victim, how to deal with the perpetrator and how to make restitution to the victim.

Training and Seminars

1. Advanced Career Enhancement Seminars (ideal for mid-career-level female employees)
  These seminars encourage employees to identify their own career anchors, think about their careers from longer-term perspectives, and master the arts of positive thinking and self-improvement. (1-day training)
2. Advancement Workshops for Female Managers (ideal for people seeking management positions)
  These seminars provide practical training for female managers in the skills that are required for management positions. (3-day training)
3. Conflict Management Seminars
  These seminars teach employees the skills required to quickly resolve (mediate) conflicts and interpersonal disputes in the workplace. (4-hour training)
4. Daycare Supporter Training Classes and Skill Improvement Classes
  These classes provide training and skill improvement opportunities for people providing daycare support in the community.

Other Programs

  The JIWE also sends fact-finding missions overseas to study the conditions of female workers in other countries.
